Dr. Matthew Collard is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, minimally invasive total joint replacements of the shoulder, hip and knee, as well as hand and upper extremity treatment and surgery.
Dr. Collard received both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry before being admitted to the university’s School of Medicine. After graduating with honors with his medical degree, Dr. Collard completed a general orthopedic residency at Des Peres Hospital. His residency included one year of trauma training at St. Louis University Hospital and pediatric orthopedic training at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
Displaying strong leadership throughout his residency, Dr. Collard served as Chief Intern, Trauma Chief, and in his final year, Chief Resident. He then completed an international fellowship in orthopedic surgery at Insel Hospital in Berne, Switzerland.
A native of Webb City, Missouri, he has been in private practice since 2007.
